Currently Save the Children has an Urgently need for experienced staffs to be
part of our  Asia Area Controller Team and will be based in Jakarta.

The position we are looking for is:
Regional Officer – Accounting and Finance – 1 post, based in Jakarta (code: ROAF-Jkt)

The Regional Officer – Accounting and Finance, based in Jakarta, reporting to the Manager - Accounting and Treasury,  temporary for three months, will be responsible Coordinates and assists Manager, Accounting & Treasury and Manager, Finance & System Support for Asia Area Controller Team with functions related to accounting and finance, having initial contact with country offices in all related aspects. His/her job is supervised directly by the Manager, Accounting & Treasury through periodic meetings and monitoring of completion of tasks assigned.  In case of absence of one of the members of controller's team will support as required to ensure services are provided to country offices in the region. Also, will support systems as well as travel as needed to support country office by providing Technical Assistance or temporary duty assignments.

Core Responsibilities:

·           Assist Manager, Accounting and Treasury following up processes related to approval and required information to/from country offices within the region.
·           Review and processing the export files from Country Offices
·           Review and check the completeness of the hard copy of monthly financial report sent by country offices
·           Keep continuous communications with controllers team and other agency staff as per position requires
·           Generate the HO/Other Charges, LOG, BVAs and other financial reports for analysis and feed in the dashboard
* Write communications to country offices such as Transmittal Letter
* Participate in monthly meetings with country offices explaining issues arise and working finding solutions
·           Perform transaction analysis as required due requests from country offices or home office.
* Collect the monthly financial report from Country Office based on checklist and file it with the JV
* Collect and follow up with Country Office on missing schedules
·           Establish and maintain the filing system for financial report and support schedules
* In coordination with Manager, Accounting & Treasury perform temporary duty (TDY) assignments to fill for absences or needs per country offices requirements
* Assist the Asia Area Controller Team organize training/meeting.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience and Skills):

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- At least 3 years experience in related field with NGO preferred
- Experience of USAID and/or other donor's rules and regulations
- Computer literacy skills (MS-Word, Excel, Access and others)
- Experience working with large Accounting Software such as Sun System
- Ability to organize, coordinate and manage activities related to responsibility of the position
- Knowledge and experience using office and computer equipment
- Knowledge of USAID rules and regulations and other donors
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, clear and concise
- Good knowledge and ability to communicate in English both verbally and in written
- Able to set priority in workload and work independently
