The ASEAN Foundation (AF) is an inter-governmental, non-profit organisation, established by the ten ASEAN Member States (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam) with the mandates to promote greater awareness of ASEAN among the general public and help address poverty and socio-economic disparity issues in the region.
The ASEAN Foundation now invites applications from Indonesian Citizens and ASEAN Nationals with Permanent Resident Status in Indonesia to apply for the following career position:
FINANCE OFFICER
(Short-term Contract)
 
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the general guidance and supervision of the Head of Finance and Administration, the Finance Officer (short-term contract) will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
1. Maintaining project financial records and files.
2. Assisting project staff in reviewing proposed budget from proponent based on allowable cost and standard of the ASEAN Foundation (AF) project approval process.
3. Checking all project financial reports, verifying the accuracy of calculations and the completeness of supporting documents, initiating correspondences to verify data, and responding to queries.
4. In coordination with project staff, initiating correspondences and/or discussion with the executing agency or proponent related to finance and budget issues.
5. Reviewing and monitoring disbursement schedule and report status of the funding activities, also reconciling to the AF project database.
6. Assisting the Head of Finance and Administration and the Executive Director in generating financial report to the donors.
7. Representing the AF in banking matters.
8. Performing direct involvement in audit process.
9. Maintaining and fostering conducive working environment and high spirit of staff members for stronger team-work, team-building, and improved productivity within the organisation.
10. Performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum Bachelor degree in accounting from reputable university.
2. Three (3) years of relevant finance work experience, preferably handling project funds/trust funds.
3. English proficiency.
4. Computer literacy, especially in word-processing, spreadsheet, and knowledge on programme/project management.
5. Good interpersonal skill and ability to work with minimum supervision.
6. Knowledge on ASEAN and financial management would be an asset.
Conditions: 
Successful candidate shall be offered the post with fixed term of five (5 months) employment contract to start in February 2012.
Remuneration: 
All-inclusive monthly remuneration: IDR 4 – 6 million, depending on qualifications and previous experiences. No other benefits will be provided.
