Save the Children vacancy: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (1), Project Assistant (2) based in Masohi, Maluku

1976 to promote health and nutrition, education, child protection,
livelihoods, and emergency preparedness and response. Save the Children

across Indonesia. Our program approach now brings long term and
sustainable benefits to more Indonesian children and we work to
establish effective, self-sustaining approaches to issues related to
child protection, health, education, livelihoods, emergency response and
disaster risk reduction. Save the Children partners with children,
communities, local organizations and the government of Indonesia to
transform the lives of Indonesia children and their families. Currently
Save the Children has an immediate need for experienced staffs to be
part of our Masohi Team and will be based in Maluku.

The position we are looking for are:

1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - 1 post, based in Maluku (code:
MEO-Maluku)

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, based in Maluku, reporting to the
Program Manager, will be Responsible to design and to implement a
comprehensive Monitoring and Evaluation System that adequately meets
information requirements for program management; internal and external
reporting; and documentation of experiences, best practices and lessons
learned and program accountability. Responsible to support occasionally
significant duties such as make contribution to internal program reviews
as requested by the Program Manager and participates in M&E capacity
building to all relevant district staff and partners.

Core Responsibilities:

* Ensure programs M & E frameworks are implemented and
contribute to the further refinement of the strategy/framework based on
feedback and lessons acquired in its implementation.

* Working closely with program staffs in Maluku, ensure that all
the relevant data are collected as per the ME plan and from all the
relevant sources.

* In collaboration with program staffs, develop & implement M&E
data collection tools for use at district and community levels.

* Compile district level data and assist SPO and PO/staffs in
reporting.

* Draft monthly and or scheduled/regular reports with the
guidance from Program Manager.

* Assist program team in the analysis and interpretation of
collected data, develop charts, graphs and tables to be presented to
senior management team on a regular basis

* Ensure that data and information included in all district
level reports and that they are up to date and accurate, including
beneficiary count or total reach.

* Participate in/undertake rapid field based assessments to
provide feedback on program progress and beneficiaries perception on
interventions implemented in Maluku

* Lead and contribute to the documentation of best practices &
lessons including but not limited to produce newsletter.

* Provide technical support and feedback in M&E to implementing
partners (if any) and stakeholders

* As appropriate, coordinate M&E activities with other relevant
agencies and partners

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience and Skills):

* Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Statistics or Social Sciences

* At least 4 years experience in related field with INGO with
minimum 3 years in similar position

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent in developing media campaign (newsletter, leaflet etc)

* Computer literacy skills is a MUST (MS-Word, Excel, Access)
and familiar with database/statistical software such as CSPro and SPSS

* Good knowledge and ability to communicate in English both
verbally and in written

* Team player with good initiative/creativity and ability to
prioritize activities/assignments

* Able to work beyond normal hour at all times and to work under
pressure

2. Project Assistant - 2 posts, based in Maluku (code: PA-Maluku)

The Project Assistant, based in Maluku, reporting to the Project
Officer, will be responsible to provide all required administrative
works and perform other supporting activities to all line manager, to
support the implementation of the programmes. Responsible to support
occasionally significant duties such as Person in Charge for this
project in the absence of PO and cover other program in the absence of
PO.

Core Responsibilities:

* Work closely with schools including teachers, principals and
school committees to implement project activities.

* Provide all administrative supports ( including report,
supporting materials, arranging meeting ) to support the provision of
updated and accurate information to Programme Manager

* Conduct surveys or focus group discussions to targeted
programme audiences, in order to provide POs with critical and strategic
feedback for improving Save the Children education programme strategies
and practices.

* Develop, maintain and improve close-relationships with local
officials and partners to ensure constructive working relationships that
would contribute to the learning and sustainability of the programme.

* Prepare and develop TOR and weekly/monthly progress reports to
ensure the provision of updated and accurate information to her/his line
Manager. The reports should not only cover the impact of activities
undertaken but also progress in strategic areas like working with
district government or other relevant organizations and adoption of Save
the Children approaches by other INGOs, government, and schools

* To collect and gather information required by line manager to
support the improvement and implementation of programmes

* Perform advocacy to stakeholders, to build up the awareness
and acceptance of the programmes

* Develop excellent communication and cooperation within the
team and between the offices of Save the Children in Maluku.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience and Skills):

* Bachelor's Degree in related disciplines

* At least 2 years experience in related field with INGO

* Excellent knowledge and ability to work with children, teachers,
principles, parents , community and government
* Understand impact of conflict and natural disasters on children
and communities
* Excellent to support facilitation, report writing skills and
presentation skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work as part team and to build relationship
* Initiative with ability to work with little supervision
* Excellent seeks information and concern for order

* Computer literacy skills (MS-Word, Excel, Access and others)

* Good knowledge and ability to communicate in English both
verbally and in written

* Good planning skill and ability to pay attention to details
