The Spanish Red Cross Indonesia Delegation  is looking for candidates for
the Post as:



Position Title: Project Officer

Duty Station: Palangka Raya – Central Kalimantan

Reports to: Program Manager – Spanish Red Cross Jakarta office

Responsible for: Correct implementation of project specifically in
assisting PMI Chapter and Branch performance

Project Title: Community Based Health and First Aid (CBHFA) through
Organizational Development and Capacity Building (ODCB) in Central
Kalimantan province.

Project Length: Until November 2013.



Interviews          : Starting on 16 January 2012.

Date of Hire      : 1st February 2012 (or earlier)

Contract Period : Until the end of project, including 3 to 6 months
probation contract.

*Position Purposes:*

As a focal person within the SRC team for the technical and coordination
aspects of the Community Based Health and First Aid trough Organizational
Development and Capacity Building (CBHFA – ODCB) project implemented in
partnership with Palang Merah Indonesia who is based in the field (Palangka
Raya). His/her main responsibility is to ensure the correct implementation
of CBHFA-ODCB and support PMI chapter/branch performance on daily basis



*Key Tasks:*

§  Responsible for the implementation of activities in chapter/branch level
as established in the plan of action.

§  Work closely with the SRC Program Manager and PMI Heads of Office of PMI
chapter/branch.

§  Keep informing constantly the SRC Program Manager for any updates and
constraints in the field.

§  Support specifically the Branch and Chapter Heads of Office in promoting
the team working practice to the branch staff.

§  Support specifically the Branch and Chapter Finance staff in ensuring
the finance report and maintain the quality of report as established and
agreed between PMI/SRC.

§  Elaborate the monthly report to the SRC Program Manager and PMI Project
Coordinator in the way required in bilingual language (Bahasa and English).

§  In close coordination with the SRC Administration Team, supervise the
correct use of the donated funds, budget follow up and economical
justification of the project; following the SRC Manual for Economical
Justification and PMI regulations.

§  Work closely with the stakeholders involved and other organizations.

§  Establish, jointly with the SRC Programme Manager and PMI, a monitoring
system in all levels.

§  Respect and promote the 7 Fundamental Principles of the International
Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

§  To facilitate relations between the Program Manager and PMI and other
institutional colleagues by acting as a translator in Bahasa Indonesia and
English.

§  To translate written documents from English to Bahasa Indonesia and vice
versa.







*Qualifications:*

§  University degree (Preferable Public Health or Social Sciences).

§  Specific training on Project Management and Leadership

§  Strong knowledge on Logical Framework/Project Planning Process/Project
Cycling

§  Having knowledge and professional experience on CBHFA approach and/or
Office Management

§  At least 3 years experience working with Humanitarian2-4 years
experience in managing development projects/programs (preferable Health
program).

§  Experience on financial management of development projects.

§  Preferable experience within the Red Cross and Red Crescesnt Movement.

§  High level of English (oral and written)

§  Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) etc.
