Lutheran World Relief is a U.S. based non-profit development
organization engaged in seeking lasting solutions to poverty is seeking three experienced separate consultants:
(1)    Agricultural
Value Chain for cocoa in North Sumatra
(2)     Cocoa Value Chain Trainer
(3)     Micro hydro Power Project Documentation
Consultant
Those positions are short-term consultancies (less than one
month) to support an existing Lutheran World Relief project
(1)    Agricultural
Value Chain Consultant
The Agricultural Value Chain consultant will be responsible to:
·         Review the cocoa value chain in North Sumatra
and provide a written report
·         Review the current practices undertaken by
Lutheran World Relief's partner for the sale of cocoa and provide
recommendations
 
Core Competencies:
•     At least five years' experience working as
a consultant or demonstrated experience in the field of the consultancy
especially agriculture value chain
•     Fluency in English with excellent verbal
and written communication skills
 
(2)     Cocoa Value Chain Trainer
The Cocoa Trainer will be responsible to:
* Train cocoa farmer understand about cocoa grading
* Identify farmer's  cocoa grade
 
Core Competencies:
•     Have an
experience with cocoa marketing or cocoa trader (exporter)
 
(3)    Micro hydro Power Project Documentation
Consultant
The Project
Documentation Consultant will be responsible to:
* Visit the project site, work with the partner and Lutheran World Relief to develop a field manual for the project
 
Core Competencies:
* Engineer Education background
* Skillful in micro hydropower construction
* Community Development Experience is a plus
